I am running for Whitefish Bay School Board because I believe our public schools are one of the most important investments we can make in the future of our community. I grew up in Whitefish Bay and am a proud graduate of Whitefish Bay High School. My experience in this community and in its schools shaped who I am today. Now, as a parent, I have an even more personal stake in making sure that the next generation of Whitefish Bay students has the same opportunity to receive an exceptional education. My professional career has been in technology and engineering, where I have spent more than a decade building complex systems, leading teams, managing projects, and solving difficult problems. I have learned that strong organizations don’t succeed by avoiding hard decisions. They succeed by understanding the facts, listening to the people they serve, setting clear priorities, and making thoughtful decisions about how to invest limited resources. That is the approach I want to bring to the School Board. I have become increasingly involved in conversations about the future of Whitefish Bay schools, including through my work with the Yes for Strong Schools organization. Those conversations have reinforced for me how much our community cares about its schools - and also how important it is that we have thoughtful, transparent conversations about the challenges ahead. I am not running because I believe every decision has an obvious answer. I am running because I believe Whitefish Bay deserves school-board members who are willing to ask difficult questions, listen to different perspectives, understand the data, and make decisions with both educational excellence and long-term financial responsibility in mind. Most importantly, I want to help ensure that Whitefish Bay remains a community where families choose to live because they know their children will have access to outstanding public schools. I am running because I care deeply about this community, I believe in public education, and I believe my experience as a Whitefish Bay alumna, parent, engineer, and leader can contribute something valuable to the future of our schools.
Ensure every student in Whitefish Bay has access to an excellent, well-rounded education that prepares them for college, careers, and life. As a parent with a daughter who will go through the district, I want to help protect the academic excellence and opportunities that make Whitefish Bay schools such an important part of our community.
Support responsible investment in our schools, including teachers, staff, educational programs, and facilities. I believe we can maintain the high quality of our schools while being thoughtful and transparent about costs, long-term planning, and the impact on taxpayers.
Make the physical and digital safety of students and staff a priority. This includes supporting effective school security measures while also ensuring that students feel safe and supported at school
Strengthen cybersecurity and information-security practices across the district. Schools increasingly depend on technology to teach, communicate, and operate, and they hold significant amounts of sensitive student, family, and employee information. I would bring my professional experience in technology and engineering leadership to help the district evaluate cybersecurity risks, protect information, prepare for incidents, and build resilient systems.
Have questions or suggestions? I would love to hear from you!
